On Sept. 12, the Fraser Valley Marine Society held it’s first annuall golf tournament at the Ceder Ridge Golf Course in Mission.

 Members of the society would like to thank the owners of the golf course the sponsers who donated door prizes aswell as the 18 sponsers who each sponsered a hole in support of the Fraser Valley Marine Society.

 The money raised at this fundraiser will go towards our on going efforts in keeping our waterways safe for the boating public. The society will be makeing plans for a bigger and better tournamemt for next year and will be looking forward to your support.

Members of the Canadian Coast Gaurd Auxiliary boating safety unit 102 would like to thank Pitt Meadows Marina for the opportunity to install a Kids Don’t Float Board on their dock in Pitt Meadows.

 The board is supported by Mustang Flotation and is ready for use. It is equipped with 2 infant, 2 child and 2 youth life jackets.This is an hounor system, so please return the life jackets at the end of your day.

Members of the Fraser Valley Marine Society and Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary Boating Safety Unit 102 will be hosting a golf tournament September 12th at the Cedar Ridge Golf Course in Mission BC.

Take a shot at the Johnston Meir  Insurance Group 18th hole, 165 yard hole in one and win $10.000.

Tickets are $ 75.00, this includes a steak dinner, 50/50 draw and door prizes. This is a shot gun start tee off time is 2pm. Proceeds raised from the tournament will go towards our efforts in promoting boating safety and education in the Fraser Valley.
