Continued Financial Support from BMO

The Fraser Valley Marine Society gratefully acknowledges BMO Bank of Montreal Employee Charitable Foundation’s continued financial support.  The BMO Employee Charitable Foundation supports thousands of registered charities in Canada through the generous support of the employees, pensioned employees, customers, and friends of the BMO Financial Group.

The charitable donation support from the BMO Employee Charitable Foundation and BMO Financial Group of Companies to the Fraser Valley Marine Society over the past several years totals $9,000.00. BMO is proud to acknowledge the Fraser Valley Marine Society as an organization dedicated to keeping the waterways safe and fun for everyone.

How Can You Help

Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary – Pacific Unit 102 is responsible for a very large geographical area that encompasses the Fraser River from the Pitt River Bridge to Harrison Lake and includes all of the inland waterways in between. Currently Unit 102 does not have a community vessel. Our goal is through community support and contributions, to acquire this vessel. This acquisiton is vital to allow us to provide the best possible boating safety education.

The success of our boating safety program shows that there is a need for the services provided by the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary – Pacific. The Fraser Valley Marine Society was formed to raise funds to help support such a program. The society is asking businesses, organizations and interested individuals to make donations to help support boating safety.

For your convenience we have set up an online donation facility using CanadaHelps.org.  CanadaHelps is a public charitable foundation and is Canada’s only donation portal that provides access to all of Canada’s 80,000 charities, from national organizations like national cancer charities to smaller groups like local animal shelters and soup kitchens.
